Srinagar, August 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Congress leader, Mani Shankar Aiyar has said that Article 35-A, which grants special rights and privileges to the permanent citizens of Jammu and Kashmir, should not be abrogated.

Mani Shankar Aiyar said this while talking to reporters in Srinagar. He said that Article 35-A was in the interest of the Kashmiri people and should not be touched. Nobody should make any effort for its abrogation, he said.

“People of Kashmir are worried that their rights will be snatched if there is any tampering with Article 35-A,” he pointed out.

He also said that the Government of India should hold talks with Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
