NIA court sends Salahuddin’s son to 10-day remand » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, August 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a court of India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA), today, sent Syed Shakeel Yousuf, son of prominent freedom leader, Syed Salahuddin, to 10-day remand of the Indian probe agency.

Reports said the NIA court sent Shakeel Yousuf into the custody of NIA till September 10.

Shakeel Yousuf was arrested from Rambagh area of Srinagar during a night raid on Thursday. He works as a lab technician at Soura Hospital in Srinagar.

Last year, the Indian probe agency arrested Syed Shahid Yousuf, another son of Salahuddin, in a fake case. He is lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.

Shahid was an employee of Agriculture department. He was posted as an agricultural assistant in Soibugh – his native village. Following his arrest in October last year, he was suspended from his job.
