Srinagar, September 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities booked six youth from Shopian district under draconian law, Public Safety Act, and shifted them to a jail in Jammu region, today.

The authorities slapped the PSA on the youth identified as Muhammad Lateef Dar, Muhammad Hussain Wagay, Ghulam Jeelani Gatoo, Bilal Ahmed Butt, Faisal Amin Mir and Shakeel Ahmed Thokar.

The youth were arrested by the Indian police during nocturnal raids on the charges of stone pelting and organizing anti-India demonstrations in the district. They have been lodged at Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu.

Meanwhile, the Hurriyat forum in a statement in Srinagar condemned the arrest of six youth from Shopian district under draconian law, Public Safety Act, and shifted them to a jail in Jammu region, today.

It added that, India under a well-thought-out plan, was pushing the youth towards wall and was utilizing every cheap tactic to weaken the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people. It said India would never succeed in its nefarious designs.
