Bandipora, Pulwama shut against killings

Srinagar, September 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more youth in Kupwara district, today, taking the toll to five in less than past twenty four hours.

Three youth were killed by the troops during violent cordon and search operations in Tangdhar area of the district, today, while two youth were killed on Sunday. An Indian soldier was also shot dead during the operation in the area.

Unidentified gunmen killed a 45-year-old man in Sopore town, today. The deceased, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Mir was abducted by masked men from his home at Harwan and his dead body was found in an orchard. »

Srinagar, September 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that war is not an option to resolve the disputes.

The party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, while commenting on the latest statements of India and Pakistan, said disputes are resolved amicably and not by issuing threatening statements which add to the problems for common people. »

Srinagar, September 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, women speakers have said huge militarization has destructed families in Kashmir and entire society has moved to insecure and vulnerable situations where women get confined to their homes.

Speakers at a programme ‘Baatein Aman Ki’ at Institute of Hotel Management in Srinagar said that the ongoing conflict has also impacted the lives of womenfolk in Kashmir. They said women need to own their history by empowering themselves with education and begin the reformation of society. »

All business establishments were shut while traffic was off the road in the two districts. »

Srinagar, September 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three more youth in Kupwara district, taking the toll to five in less than past twenty four hours.

Three youth were killed by the troops during violent cordon and search operations in Tangdhar area of the district on Monday, while two youth were killed on Sunday, bringing the toll to five in two days.

Earlier, an Indian army man was also killed in an attack in the same area.

The Indian army said that the operation was going on in the area.
