JRL urges people to boycott upcoming elections

Srinagar, September 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Sopore town, today. The fresh killings have raised the number of martyred youth to 14 since Thursday.

The troops killed the youth during a cordon and search operation in Tujjer Sharief area of the town. The authorities suspended mobile internet services and ordered closure of all educational institutions in Sopore.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has appealed to the Kashmiri people to stage complete boycott of the upcoming election drama to frustrate India’s nefarious designs of using these polls as a political tool to mislead the world community. The leadership met at Syed Ali Gilani’s Hyderpora residence in Srinagar to discuss the brazen plunder of Kashmir’s economic assets and Indian plans to change the demographic composition of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, September 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the nursing students of Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar, today, held a protest demonstration demanding release of their classmate Muhammad Iqbal Rathar.

Scores of nursing students from Soura Institute of Medical Sciences assembled at Press Enclave in Srinagar and staged a demonstration seeking release of Muhammad Iqbal Rathar. Iqbal was arrested by the Indian police on Srinagar-Jammu highway recently. »

Families of three slain youth refute Indian Army’s claim

Srinagar, September 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life remained crippled in Bandipore district of north Kashmir for the fifth consecutive day today, against the killing of five youth by Indian troops.

The troops killed two youth on Thursday and three others on Friday during a prolonged cordon and search operation in Sumlar area of the district.

All shops and business establishments remained closed in the district while a thin movement of private vehicles was witnessed on roads. »

The occupation authorities suspended mobile internet service across the town and ordered closure of all educational institutions in sub-division Sopore.

Meanwhile, dead body of 30-year-old Zahoor Ahmed Dar was recovered from Balahama area on the outskirts of the Srinagar city.

Srinagar, September 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League has paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Bandipora and Tral areas.

The JKML Spokesman, Sajjad Ayobi, in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The sacrifices offered by the youth are the priceless asset for the ongoing movement. All these youth conveyed a message that the Kashmiri people would never surrender despite all atrocities and excesses perpetrated by India on them.”

He said the Indian forces use chemical weapons during operations, which burn the bodies of the youth beyond recognition. “The use of chemical weapons and destruction of the houses is a crime against humanity and the Indian forces have crossed all the limits,” he added.

The Hurriyat forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said that ill-treatment meted out to the Kashmiri detainees in the jails of Tihar, Kathua, Udhampur, Kot Bhalwal and Srinagar was an eye-opener for the world community and international human rights organizations. »
