People stage forceful anti-India demonstrations

Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, normal life remained crippled, today, due to complete shutdown against the ongoing killing spree unleashed by the Indian troops across the territory.

Call for the shutdown was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and was also aimed at registering protest against the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and other atrocities of the Indian police and troops on the people of the territory. All shops, business establishments and schools remained closed while transport was off the road. Banihal town of Jammu region also remained shut against the killings. »

Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has denounced the authorities for not allowing congregational prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar for the second consecutive week.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who was placed under house arrest earlier today, in a tweet, referring to yesterday’s killing in Noorbagh area of Srinagar and barring of prayers at the Jamia Masjid said, “Cycle of killings and repression continues in Kashmir”.

He also said that it was the 15th time this year that Kashmiris were barred from offering Friday prayers at the historic mosque.

Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete strike was observed in Banihal town in Ramban district of Jammu against the killing of youth by Indian troops in the Kashmir Valley.

All shops and other commercial establishments were closed in Banihal and adjoining areas while transport was off the road. Shutdown is being observed in Banihal town and adjoining Charil, Tethar and Nowgam markets, located on a 10-km stretch on Srinagar-Jammu highway. »

A group of students talking to media men said that they were unable to prepare for various exams scheduled this year due to suspension of the Internet services by the occupation authorities. They said that the authorities had put their careers at stake by snapping the Internet services. »

Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has informed the High Court that despite several orders by the court, the condition of jails has not improved.

The HCBA President, Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, on behalf of the lawyer’s body, submitted that all these orders are of no avail as nothing on the ground has changed as far as the issues related to jail conditions are concerned. »

Srinagar, September 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly condemned the killing of four youth by Indian troops, yesterday.

The troops killed two youth at Panzan in Badgam and one in Dooru area of Islamabad during cordon and search operations. Another youth, identified as Muhammad Saleem Malik, was killed when the troops resorted to unprovoked firing on his house in Noorbagh area of Srinagar. »
