Expresses concern over HR violations
Islamabad, October 31 (KMS): The All-Party Parliamentary Kashmir Group (APPKG) in the UK Parliament in its report released today expressed concern over the present human rights situation in occupied Kashmir.

The report compiled after receiving various testimonies about the human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian troops in the occupied territory was released by Chairman of the APPKG, MP Chris Leslie, in London. »

World asked to take notice of Indian crimes in IOK

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, participated in funeral prayers of a martyred youth, Showkat Ahmed Khan, in Tral area of Pulwama district.

Showkat Ahmed Khan along with another youth was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Tral town, yesterday. Multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held to accommodate the huge rush of mourners who had thronged the martyr’s native Handoora village in Tral. Some mujahideen suddenly appeared during the funeral and offered a gun salute to the martyr. The killing led to complete shutdown in Tral and adjoining areas.

On the other hand, the Joint Resistance Leadership in a statement issued after a meeting at Hyderpora in Srinagar urged the international community to take serious note of the crimes perpetrated by the Indian forces including blowing up of houses with explosive material, thrashing and beating of people and damaging of properties during cordon and search operations. The leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik deplored that whosoever tries to raise voice against the brutality of Indian forces is silenced either by ruthless torture or through other means of repression. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched cordons and search operations in Shopian and Bandipora districts, today.

The troops cordoned off Meemandar and Losedenow areas of Shopian in south Kashmir and conducted house-to-house searches, causing huge inconvenience to the people. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, noted human rights activist and the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights (IFJHR), Muhammad Ahsan Untoo has demanded investigation into the murder of a Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir activist, Hakeem-ur-Rehman Sultani, by a judge of High Court of the territory.

Hakeem-ur-Rehman Sultani, 43, was shot dead by Indian troops in disguise outside his house in Bomai area of Sopore on October 8. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held in Tral, today, for a youth martyred by Indian troops along with his associate in Tral area of Pulwama district.

Thousands of people from Tral and adjoining areas on Wednesday participated in the funeral prayers of the martyr, Showkat Ahmed Khan, a resident of Handoora village in Tral town. He along with another youth was killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in the town, yesterday. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, visited different areas of South Kashmir and expressed solidarity with the families of the youth recently martyred by Indian troops.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi was released 40 days after his illegal detention from Indian jail. He was arrested during a police raid on his house on September 20, 2018, and was released on Tuesday. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Press Club has denounced attacks on journalists by Indian forces in south Kashmir, yesterday.

A spokesman of Kashmir Press Club in a statement issued in Srinagar said the attacks on journalists are clearly aimed at scaring journalists to stop them from carrying out their professional duties. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Masarrat Aalam Butt, was brought from Kot Bhalwal Jail, Jammu, to Srinagar for the hearing of a fake case registered against him in 2015.

Masarrat Aalam Butt was produced in Forest Court, Srinagar, where after hearing the arguments the judge fixed the next hearing of the said case on November 20. »

Srinagar, October 31 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that India is using its military might to crush Kashmiris’ genuine struggle for right to self-determination by resorting to killings, vandalizing of properties, arrests and other repressive measures in the territory.

The APHC said this during its executive council meeting, which was presided over by its  General Secretary, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, in Srinagar. The meeting was attended by the heads and representatives of the constituent parties. The participants discussed at length various issues including the prevailing most critical situation in the territory. »
