Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): Germany has called upon India and Pakistan to resolve the complex Kashmir issue through talks.

Deputy Head of German Mission in New Delhi, Dr Jasper Wieck while talking to media persons on the sidelines of an event in Srinagar said, Kashmir is a very complex issue and India and Pakistan have inherited this very difficult and complex situation and Germany wishes that the two nuclear armed neighbours resolve it through dialogue. »

Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory are being traumatised, tortured and humiliated by the jail authorities.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the jails had been turned into torture centres where respect for life and human dignity stood at its lowest. »

New Delhi, October 02 (KMS): Embarrassed by the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres’ statement on Kashmir ahead of his visit to India, New Delhi tried to play down the remarks by saying that they “should not be seen as interference in India’s internal matters”.

Antonio Guterres who is presently visiting India just before leaving New York for Delhi after the conclusion of the UN General Assembly Session had said, “I remain concerned by the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. I encourage positive dialogue for disagreements to be resolved peacefully.” »

Srinagar, October 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Human Rights Commission has issued notices to SSP and Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, to file a detailed compliance report before the commission by October 17 on the recent killing of a civilian, Saleem Malik, by Indian troops in Srinagar.

Saleem Malik was killed when the troops opened fire at his house during a cordon and search operation in Noorbagh area of Srinagar on Thursday (September 27). »
