India’s NIA gets its police station in IOK » Kashmir Media Service

Jammu, October 05 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have declared the branch office of India’s National Investigation Agency in Jammu as police station of the agency.

A senior official said that the NIA’s Trikuta Nagar office in Jammu had been declared as police station for registration and investigation of cases by the probe agency within the jurisdiction of occupied Kashmir.

The official said that NIA would earlier register FIRs in all cases related to the occupied territory at its New Delhi police station. “But now such FIRs will be registered at Jammu,” he said.

In August this year, the NIA had requested the authorities to provide it a safe and secure accommodation in Srinagar.
