Srinagar, October 11 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched cordon and search operations in Kupwara and Baramulla districts.

The troops launched the operations at Shatgund Bala, Qalamabad and Shatgund in Handwara area of Kupwara and at Dangarpora in Sopore area of Baramulla. Several people were injured after Indian forces fired bullets and pellets on protesters in Qalamabad and Shatgund.

On the other hand, the occupation authorities have suspended the mobile Internet services in the areas and ordered closure of all educational institutions in Kupwara, Bandipora, Pattan and Baramulla in north Kashmir and Pulwama district in south Kashmir.

Meanwhile, a special police officer (SPO) of Indian police was injured in an attack at Karimabad in Pulwama district.
