TeH activist booked under PSA shifted to Jammu jail

Srinagar, October 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an activist of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, booked under draconian law Public Safety Act (PSA) in Islamabad town, was shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu.

Sheikh Sartaj, 30, of Anchidora area of Islamabad town was arrested on September 18, a day after the killing of a youth, Rauf Ahmed Ganai of Al-Farooq Colony for leading anti-India demonstrations. The demonstrations were triggered by the killing of five youth by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Devsar area of neighbouring Kulgam district.

Sheikh Sartaj had participated in the funeral prayers of the martyred youth.
