Strike in Kupwara, glowing tributes paid to Dr Manan Wani

Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, showing their love and affection for the youth who are sacrificing their lives for the Kashmir cause, tens of thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of a martyr, Shabbir Ahmed Dar, in Samboora area of Pulwama district, today.

Shabbir Ahmed Dar was killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Babagund area of the district, late last night.

The occupation authorities imposed curfew in Pulwama town to prevent demonstrations against the killing. The authorities also suspended internet services in the district. Defying restrictions, thousands of people thronged Samboora, the native area of Shabbir Ahmed Dar, and participated in his funeral prayers. »

Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed in Kupwara district of north Kashmir on the third consecutive day, today, against the killing of PhD scholar, Dr Manan Wani, and his associate, Aashiq Husain Zargar, by Indian troops.

The troops killed Dr Manan Wani and Aashiq Zargar during a cordon and search operation at Shatgund in Handwara area of the district on Thursday. »

New Delhi, October 13 (KMS): Indian police have charged suspended Kashmiri students of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Wasim Ayub Malik and Abdul Mir, under sedition.

Wasim and Mir were among the students of the AMU who had tried to hold funeral prayers in absentia for PhD scholar, Manan Wani, martyred by Indian troops in Shatgund area of Kupwara district on Thursday. Manan Wani was a scholar in Applied Geology from the Aligarh Muslim University. »

Eyewitnesses said that despite restrictions, thousands of people thronged Samboora, the native area of Shabbir Ahmed Dar, and participated in his funeral prayers. They said that amid massive pro-freedom and anti-India slogans, three rounds of funeral prayers were held for the martyr. »

Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to martyred PhD scholar, Dr Manan Wani and his associate, Aashiq Hussain Zargar who were martyred by Indian troops on Thursday.

Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement in Srinagar, paying glorious tributes to Dr Manan Wani and his associate, said that brutality of New Delhi had crossed all the limits, pushing the Kashmiri youth to wall and then legalizing their killings. He said that for the past 71 years the Kashmiris had lived a life of uncertainty, chaos and harassment, had only shouldered the coffins of their dear ones, seen only death and destruction around. »

Curfew imposed in Pulwama to prevent demos

Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

The troops killed the youth identified as Shabbir Ahmed Dar during a cordon and search operation in Babagund area of the district, late last night. Another youth, Showkat Ahmad Dar, was critically injured during the operation. He has been admitted at SMHS hospital in Srinagar. »

Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, in yet another incident of forcing the journalists from highlighting the grim situation of the territory, Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) beat up two local reporters in Islamabad town while they were discharging their professional duties.

The CRPF personnel thrashed the reporters, Fayaz Lolu and Deen Imran working with Indian TV news channels Munsif and Aalmi Sahara in Ashajipora area of the town while they were performing their professional duties. »

Srinagar, October 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, unidentified gunmen killed an Indian policeman in Sopore area of Baramulla district.

The gunmen barged into the house of the policeman at Warpora in Sopore area of the district and fired upon him, late last night. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries. »
