Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed in the areas where India is going to stage an election drama for the fourth phase of local bodies’ elections in the territory, tomorrow.

Call for the strike has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik as a mark of complete boycott of the bogus elections. The leadership has urged people to stage total boycott of the sham elections. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, to what extent India’s illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir is adversely affecting the mental health of Kashmir people can be gauged from an official report wherein it has been said that psychiatry hospitals in the valley have witnessed 50,000 mental disorder cases in the past 6 months.

The latest report released by Government Medical College Srinagar (GMC) on Sunday said, a total of 47,000 cases of mental illnesses which includes drug de-addiction cases were registered at Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (IMHANS) and SMHS hospital drug de-addiction centre from April till September this year. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the students from South Kashmir’s Islamabad district preparing for various examinations have called for restoration of high-speed Internet as their studies are being affected by the continuous blockade of the service.

Scores of students preparing for various examinations in a joint letter emailed to newspapers expressed their dismay over the suspension of the high-speed Internet in the district. »

Srinagar, October 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested a delegation of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami when it was on its way to Lolab in Kupwara to express solidarity with the family of Dr Manan Wani.

The delegation comprised Khadim Hussain, Khawaja Maqbool Magami, Gulshan Abbas, Fayaz Ahmad, Muhammad Imtiaz and Afzal Bahar and lodged in police station, Sogam in Kupwara district. »
