Srinagar, October 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded probe into the Sunday’s blast that killed seven civilians and injured dozens others in Larnoo area of Kulgam district by some international agency to unveil the truth about this gory incident. The blast had occurred following the destruction of a house during a cordon and search operation by Indian troops on that day.

A JI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “A high-level delegation of Jamaat led by advocate Zahid Ali visited the families of those who lost their beloved ones in the Kulgam carnage. The members on the occasion paid glowing tributes to the victim youth and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.”

“The version stated by Indian police regarding Kulgam post-operation blast has been vehemently refuted by the local population and termed the incident as a well-planned act. According to the locals, when they reached the spot, people were searching for bodies from the debris of the house destroyed by the troops. In the meantime, a big blast happened that snatched the lives of several innocent youth and left dozens injured,” the spokesman added.

“Jamaat demands an impartial probe by some international reputed agency to unveil the designs of forces’ personnel involved in the act,” the spokesman said.

“Kashmiris are demanding their birth right – right to self-determination peacefully but Delhi is using all its might to suppress the people,” he added.

The delegation visited Rishipora, Laroo, Makhanpora, Shurat, Bogund, Hawoora, Awhatoo, Wangam and Arwani and condemned the mass killings of Kashmiris by the Indian troops.
