Srinagar, October 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has demanded probe into the Sunday’s blast that killed seven civilians and injured dozens others in Larnoo area of Kulgam district by some international agency to unveil the truth about this gory incident. The blast had occurred following the destruction of a house during a cordon and search operation by Indian troops on that day.

A JI spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “A high-level delegation of Jamaat led by advocate Zahid Ali visited the families of those who lost their beloved ones in the Kulgam carnage. The members on the occasion paid glowing tributes to the victim youth and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.” »

Srinagar, October 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, members of High Court Bar Association staged a sit-in protest outside the high court premises against civilian killings, ransacking of houses and looting of properties by Indian troops in different parts of the territory.

The Bar members took out a procession outside the court premises, raising slogans, amid demands that the Kashmir issue be settled in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the people as guaranteed by the UN Security Council resolutions. »

Authorities suspend internet services in Srinagar, Budgam

Srinagar, October 24 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two youth including a PhD scholar in Srinagar, today.

The troops killed the youth identified as PhD scholar, Dr Sabzar Ahmed Sofi, and Aasif Ahmed during a cordon and search operation at Sothu Kothair in Nowgam area of Srinagar. The operation was going on till reports last came in.

Massive protests erupted in Nowgam against the killing of the youth. People took to the streets and chanted high-pitched pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Indian police and troops fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the demonstrators and the forces’ personnel. »
