2 more youth martyred, thousands attend funerals

Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over will observe Black Day, tomorrow, the 27th October, to convey to the world that India has occupied Jammu and Kashmir against their will and is denying them their inalienable right to self-determination.

On 27th October in 1947 Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The day will be marked with a complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir and rallies in world capitals. Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and supported by other pro-freedom organizations. The resistance leaders termed the 27th October 1947 as the darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities, today, disallowed congregational Friday prayers in Srinagar’s historic Jamia Masjid for the third consecutive week.

Eyewitnesses told media men that the authorities had laid barricades and deployed Indian troops and police personnel in strength around the mosque to waylay any movement and prevent the Juma congregational prayers. »

Thousands attend funeral prayers of martyred youth

Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, several people were injured when Indian troops used brute force against peaceful protesters in Kulgam district, today.

People took to the streets and staged forceful demonstrations in Redwani, Wanpora and Khudwani areas of Kulgam against the killing of four youth by Indian troops. The youth, Sahir Makroo, Owais Ahmed Lone, Muzamil Magray and Amir Tantray, were killed by the troops in Arwani area of Islamabad district, last night. The troops fired teargas shells and pellets to disperse the protesters, resulting in injuries to several of them. »

Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in Baramulla and Islamabad districts, yesterday.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar said that bloodbath, death and destruction all around the Valley was only because of the Indian rulers who were still in denial mode. “Even after killings on daily basis, men in uniform are not satisfied. They kill youth in broad-day-light and in the dead of night raid houses to pick up people and subject them to ruthless treatment in police stations and other interrogation centers,” he said. »

Srinagar, October 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has condemned the arrest and detention of party activists under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and lodging them at Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu.

The JKML spokesman, Sajjad Ayubi, in a statement issued in Srinagar said arresting Mohammad Hayat Butt of Soura Srinagar, Waheed A Gojree of Rawalpora Srinagar, Mohammad Abdullah Mir of Yaroo Lengate, booking them under PSA, and shifting them to Kot Bhalwal jail is undemocratic and condemnable action. »
