Shutdown in IOK, dozens of protesters injured

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed Black Day, today, to convey to the world that India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir is totally illegal, unjust and contrary to the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

According to Kashmir Media Service, it was on this day in 1947 when Indian troops had invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total disregard to the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

The day was marked with a complete shutdown in occupied Kashmir and rallies in world capitals, today. Call for the shutdown was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and supported by other pro-freedom organizations. All shops, business establishments and educational institutions remained closed while traffic was off the road in the occupied territory. »

Islamabad, October 27 (KMS): President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have reiterated Pakistan’s unflinching moral, diplomatic and political support for the just cause of the Kashmiri people.

President Dr Arif Alvi in his message on the Kashmir Black Day, today, said, “We pay homage to the sacrifices of our brethren in Indian occupied Kashmir and reiterate our unflinching and steadfast moral, diplomatic and political support.”

“This support will continue till the realisation of their [Kashmiris] lawful right to self-determination,” he added. »

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has said that Kashmir dispute is a recognized fact.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said India is a signatory to the instruments agreed upon by Pakistan and international community and has promised to ascertain the aspirations of Kashmiri people by giving them their right to self-determination. »

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to police and civil administration in connection with killing of civilians on Sunday at Larnoo village of Kulgam district.

The Chairperson of the Commission, Justice (Retd) Bilal Nazki, taking cognizance of a petition, issued a notice to the Deputy Commissioner and SSP of Kulgam.

The Commission has also asked both respondents to file their reply before December 11, 2018. The Chairman of International Forum for Justice (IFJ) Ahsan Untoo filed the petition. »

Islamabad, October 27 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a protest demonstration in front of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad, today, in connection with Kashmir Black Day.

On this day in 1947 Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it against the will of the Kashmiri people.

Addressing the demonstration, the speakers termed 27th October as the darkest day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir. They said that Kashmiri people never accepted India’s illegal occupation of their homeland and were rendering unparalleled sacrifices to secure freedom from the Indian yoke. They said that India was resorting to the worst state terrorism in occupied Kashmir to suppress the Kashmiris’ just struggle. »

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a Kashmiri engineering student, Mubashir Matoo, was thrashed by three assailants at his residence in Chandigarh, last night.

Zahoor Ahmed, the guardian of Mubashir Matoo, told media men in Srinagar that the assailants thrashed Mubashir with iron roads and knives leaving him in a state of unconsciousness. »

It was on October 27 in 1947 when Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan of the Subcontinent and against the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

Illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar said that on this day in 1947 Indian army illegally landed in Kashmir and took its control forcibly. He said right from the day, India has been treating Kashmir as its colony and Kashmiri people its slaves who have no human rights. »

Brussels, October 27 (KMS): The Kashmir Council EU held a protest demonstration, today, in front of Indian Embassy in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, to mark the Kashmir Black Day.

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and world over are observe Black Day on 27th October to mark the illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by India on this day in 1947.

The Chairman of Kashmir Council, Ali Raza Syed, led the peaceful demonstration and demanded of New Delhi to give the right of self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. »

Srinagar, October 27 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged a demonstration in Lolab area of Kupwara district, today, against the brutalities of Indian troops.

The residents of Cheerkoot area of Lolab took to the streets and held a demonstration against the ransacking of property by the troops. »
