Indian forces’ reign of terror denounced

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the students of Central University of Kashmir staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar, today, to press for the release of fellow students, detained by the Indian forces during a night raid, last week.

Dozens of students of the university gathered at Press Enclave in Srinagar and demanded the release of the two students, Suhail Ahmad and Muhammad Ismail, who were arrested from their rental accommodation outside the university on fake charges. The detained students are residents of Shopian and Baramulla. The protesting students threatened to intensify their protests if the detainees were not released, forthwith. »

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, today, visited Kupwara and Pulwama areas to express solidarity with victim families of Indian state terrorism.

Muhammad Yasin Malik speaking on the occasion expressed solidarity with the families and condemned the authorities for destroying residential houses describing it as the worst kind of human rights violation.

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the harassment and psychological torture of party leader, Mir Hafizullah.

TeH in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Mir Hafizullah had been receiving threat calls from unknown numbers for the last one month and demanded investigation. »

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani, today, was shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for a medical check-up after he complained of chest pain.

Reports said that he was immediately taken to Soura Institute of Medical Sciences after he complained of a severe chest pain. Reports said he underwent some medical tests and calibration of the pacemaker in the hospital. However, he was taken back soon after some necessary checkups. »

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has asked the SSP of Srinagar to appear in person and file the status report regarding Gawkadal massacre.

Indian forces killed over 50 persons and injured more than 250 in 1990. The Commission has sent a notice to the SSP of Srinagar in response to the petition filed by the Chairman of International Forum for Justice and Human Rights, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo. »

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement, Mir Shahid Saleem, has said that the aim of Jammu massacre was to convert the Muslim majority Jammu region into a Muslim minority area.

Mir Shahid Saleem while addressing a party meeting, which was held in Rajouri to pay tributes to the Martyrs of Jammu deplored the international community’s silence over such a large-scale massacre by the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh and Hindu extremist groups. He said that the best way to pay tributes to the martyrs of Jammu was to continue their mission till its logical conclusion. »

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, hundreds of Sikhs from various districts of the Valley held a protest demonstration at Partap Park in Srinagar against the anti-people policies of the authorities.

Sikhs on the occasion, holding banners and placards, raised high-pitched slogans against the authorities. The slogans were like “Stop discrimination with Kashmiri Sikhs”, “We won’t tolerate discrimination”, “Stop favoritism.” The protest was organized under the banner of Kashmiri Sikh community.

The protesters said that the authorities were ignoring the Sikh minority of the valley.

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, at least three youth, detained on the false charges of stone pelting, got critically injured during police torture inside police lockup in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

However, police in a bid to save it skin termed the injuries as a result of clashes among the inmates inside the lock-up. »

Srinagar, November 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) has expressed concern over the deteriorating health of illegally detained party activists, Muhammad Amin Dar and Ishtiyaq Ahmed Wani in jails. The party also condemned the shifting of Assadullah Parray and Khursheed Ahmad Parray from Baramulla jail to an unknown location. »
