Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have condemned the charge-sheet filed by India’s notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) against ailing Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi, and her associates, Naheeda Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi, and slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), one more time on senior APHC leader, Masarrat Aalam Butt.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in statement issued in Srinagar said that putting political leaders and activists including women in jails on concocted charges and slapping repeated PSA on political leaders and activists was nothing but mockery of justice and democracy. »

Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): A New York-based media watchdog, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), has said that journalists in occupied Kashmir faced restrictions and attacks between October 8 and October 30, 2018.

The CPJ in a statement issued on its website said that on October 8, 2018, Indian forces’ personnel prevented photojournalists from covering the local bodies elections in Kupwara district. It said that the journalists were not even allowed to move freely and were told by cops that there was clear direction from the authorities not to allow media persons to cover the local bodies polls. »

Indian troops lauch operation in Shopian

Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, bullet-riddled dead body of a youth was recovered in Pulwama district.

The 18-year-old boy, Nadeem Manzoor, was abducted by unknown persons from his residence at Safanagri in Shopian on Thursday evening and was later found dead in Nikloora area of Pulwama district.

Meanwhile, Indian troops have launched a cordon and search operation in Heff area of Shopian district. The troops started door-to-door searches after cordoning off the area.

Visits his native Dooru village after eight years

Srinagar, November 16 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has reiterated his demand for right to self-determination saying that despite oppression, Kashmiri youth are sacrificing their lives to end the Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani visited his native Dooru area of Sopore after eight years to express solidarity with his daughter over the sad demise of her husband, Ghulam Hassan Makhdoomi. The occupation authorities have kept Syed Ali Gilani under house detention at his residence in Hyderpora area of Srinagar since 2010 and disallow his to offer Juma prayers in mosque. »
