OIC reaffirms support for Kashmiris’ just struggle

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that Indian secret agencies have started executing their plan to eliminate resistance leadership.

Syed Ali Gilani addressing a press conference in Srinagar strongly denounced the targeted killing of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader, Mir Hafeezullah, by Indian troops in disguise in Achabal area of Islamabad district, yesterday. He said, it seems the kill list prepared by the government of India and its agencies in 2016, which included names of Hurriyat activists, traders, intellectuals and journalists, is being implemented now. He said, the way Indian army-backed Ikhwan and other militias selectively targeted members of Jamaat-e-Islami in the past, the same pattern is now being followed to eliminate the leaders of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. »

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, today, to mourn the killing of four youth by Indian troops.

All the shops, business establishments and educational institutions are closed while the traffic is off the roads in the district.

The troops killed the youth during a cordon and search operation in Nadigam area of the district, yesterday. At least ten civilians, including three girls, were injured due to the use of force by Indian troops on peaceful protesters in the area. »

Hurriyat leaders term the murder handiwork of Indian agencies

Srinagar, November 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have strongly denounced the targeted killing of senior leader of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir (TeH), Mir Hafeezullah, terming it a handiwork of Indian secret agencies.

The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement in Srinagar denouncing in strong terms this cowardly and brutal act of the Indian agencies called for a complete shutdown on Thursday (22nd November) and peaceful protests after Friday prayers on 23rd November. It said that Indian rulers through their local collaborators were eliminating political activists, who raised their voice against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. »

large number of Hurriyat leaders including Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Muhammad Rafique Ganai, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous Wani, Rameez Raja, Mukhtar Ahmed Sofi, Muhammad Rafique Shah, Saleem Zargar, Meraj-ud-Ddin Rabbani, Towseef Ahmed, Shakeel Ahmed Butt, Jan Muhammad Najar, Mukhtar Ahmed Dar and women activists assembled at Aabi Guzar in Srinagar to register protest against the killings. The protesters were holding banners reading “Stop killings of innocent Kashmiris” and “Stop human rights violations.”

Pakistani consulate, OIC hold Kashmir event in Jeddah

Jeddah, November 21 (KMS): The Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr Yousef Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, has reiterated OIC’s full support to the people of Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

Dr Yousef Ahmed Al-Othaimeen reaffirmed the support while presiding over a seminar and photo exhibition jointly organized by the Pakistan Consulate and the OIC at the OIC Secretariat in Jeddah in connection with the Kashmir Black Day. India had landed its troops in Srinagar on 27th October in 1947 and illegally occupied the territory of Jammu and Kashmir against the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and in total disregard to the partition Plan of Indian subcontinent. »
