Troops use brute force on protesters

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani while reiterating the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the struggle for right to self-determination has said that no power on earth can deter them from pursuing their cherished goal of freedom from India.

Syed Ali Gilani referring to the sacrifices rendered by the people especially youth to end the forced Indian occupation in a statement in Srinagar said that out of arrogance of power India had applied all brutal methods to muzzle the Kashmiris’ voice, but had utterly failed to suppress the freedom movement.

The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement expressed serious concern over illegal detentions, violations of the right to life, right to freedom of expression, freedom of religion and freedom of peaceful assembly by Indian occupational forces in the territory. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat activists and leaders on Monday evening staged candlelight protests at Jamia Masjid in downtown and other parts of the territory against increased human rights violations.

Leaders and activists of Hurriyat forum and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front lit candles and torch lights as part of the programm announced by the JRL to protest against human rights abuses in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities placed, today, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest at his residence in Nigeen area of Srinagar.

The Hurriyat forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was detained to be prevented from taking part in candlelight vigil against human rights violations in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, political parties from across the aisle have raised their voice against Governor Satyapal Malik’s efforts to grant the citizenship to outsiders by changing the process of granting Permanent Resident Certificate in the territory.

A section of Srinagar-based media outlets quoting their sources said that efforts were being made to simplify the rules to grant Permanent Residency and the Governor had written to administrative officials seeking their input. »
