Indian judge says army engaged in invincible war

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and senior Hurriyat leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have said that India is trampling over established democratic and moral values by keeping resistance leaders behind the bars after implicating them in fake cases.

Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, condemned the authorities’ action of subjecting Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik, to severe torture during a protest in Srinagar. They expressed serious concern over the solitary confinement of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson, Aasiya Andrabi and her two aides in Delhi’s Tihar jail. »

New Delhi, December 19 (KMS): A protest march was held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi against the gruesome murder of Kashmiris by Indian troops in Pulwama.

The march and candlelight vigil were organized by a group of civil society organization including the People’s Union for Civil Liberties and National Alliance of People’s Movements. The protesters demanded an end to killing of people in the occupied territory by Indian troops. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, former member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly and Awami Ittehad Party Chairman, Engineer Abdur Rasheed Wednesday led a protest march in Handwara against the recent civilian killings by Indian troops in Pulwama.

Hundreds of protesters carrying placards, black flags and banners passed through various markets of Handwara while raising forceful slogans against the Pulwama massacre and other brutalities being committed by the troops across the territory. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission issued a notice to Chief Secretary asking him to file a detailed compliance report on the issue of a total number of houses damaged by Indian troops during cordon and search operations in the territory, this year.

The notice was issued to Home Secretary, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and the police chief by division bench of the commission comprising Dilshad Shaheen and Abdul Hameed Mir. The commission has sought a detailed report on the issue by March 6, 2019. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani underwent surgery of his right eye at a hospital in Srinagar.

An APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Syed Ali Gilani was taken to Sharp Sight Centre of Florence Hospital, Chanpora, for eye checkup on Tuesday. He said that a team of noted ophthalmologists conducted several tests of the pro-freedom leader and performed a minor surgery of his right eye. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an officer of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has committed suicide in Poonch district.

Assistant Sub-Inspector, Satpal Jaswal of 72 BSF D Company deployed at Checka Gali Sabra in Mendhar area of the district shot himself with his service rifle inside a bunker while he was on duty.

This incident has raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 417 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 till date.

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district for the fifth consecutive day, today, against civilian killings by Indian troops in the town.

All shops and business establishments are closed while public transport is off road in the town.

The shutdown call was given by various civil society groups and traders’ federation of Pulwama. The traders’ federation leaders told media that the shutdown will be observed till Friday. »

Srinagar, Dec 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has strongly condemned the continued illegal detention of party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza.

Mukhtar Waza was arrested along with party members Riyaz Ahmed, Shabbir Ahmed, Muhammad Asif and Aijaz Ahmed two days ago in Sangam area of Bijbehra when he was on his way to Pulwama to visit to the families of martyrs. Waza was lodged at Sadar police station in Islamabad town. »

Srinagar, December 19 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have shifted the illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Mohammad Yasin Malik, along with eight party activists to some undisclosed location.

A JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Muhammad Yasin Malik was detained in Kothi Bagh police station a day ago after he tried to march towards Indian army headquarters in Badami Bagh, Srinagar. »

Condemns recent massacre by Indian troops in Pulwama

Kuala Lumpur, December 19 (KMS): The Malaysian Consultation Council of Islamic Organization (MAPIM), a conglomerate of 200 organizations, has condemned the recent massacre perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

A spokesman of MAPIM in a statement said, the conglomerate regrets the silence of the world community over the atrocities in Kashmir by Indian forces.

The spokesman said that report of the detention of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, by Indian forces to curtail the rightful movement for right to self-determination in occupied Kashmir is unacceptable, and Malik is a legitimate leader of the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. »
