Pulwama shuts for second day against killings

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India’s arrogance of power and its unrealistic approach towards the Kashmir dispute is the sole reason for the unending human tragedy in the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar referred to the recent interview of former Indian Finance and Foreign Minister, Yeshwant Sinha, and said that India had always seen the Kashmir dispute through the prism of military might and ignored the emotions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Yeshwant Sinha had said that the use of force to quell uprising in Kashmir was the state policy of India and that New Delhi was holding on Jammu and Kashmir by the dint of military might. Gilani said that Sinha’s assertions had vindicated their stand that New Delhi under the toxic influence of power and might had failed to accept the truth in Kashmir. »

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a court in Bandipora has sent illegally detained Chairman of Islamic Tanzeem-e-Azadi, Abdul Samad Inqilabi to judicial remand till January 4.

Abdul Samad Inqilabi, who was on hunger strike since Thursday afternoon against torture by police at a local police station, broke his fast on the advice of judge who offered him a glass of water in the court room. »

The troops martyred the youth identified as Muzamil Nabi Dar, Waseem Akram Wani, Muzamil Nazir Butt and Haris during a cordon and search operation at Hanjin Payeen in Rajpora area of the district, yesterday. »

Birmingham, December 30 (KMS): Speakers at a conference on Kashmir have appealed to the United Nations, European Union (EU) and all global human rights organizations to persuade India to stop arrest and harassment of political leaders, activists and their sympathizers at the hands of Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

The conference, “Kashmir, The Case of Freedom”, was organized by Tehreek-e-Kashmir UK and Europe in Birmingham. A resolution unanimously passed on the occasion termed the harassment of political leaders and activists as a serious infringement on UN conventions and international protocols on peaceful political activities and struggle. »

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown was observed in Pulwama district for the second consecutive day, today, against the killing of four youth by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation, yesterday.

The troops martyred the youth identified as Muzamil Nabi Dar, Waseem Akram Wani, Muzamil Nazir Butt and Haris during a cordon and search operation at Hanjin Payeen in Rajpora area of the district, yesterday. »

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights (IFJHRJK) has said that a total of 355 people including a 10-year-old boy, a pregnant woman and three PhD scholars lost their lives to Indian state terrorism in Kashmir in 2018.

The report released by the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights said 95 cordon and search operations took place in Kashmir in the year in which 120 houses were destroyed.

The report said a journalist, two-mentally challenged men and a 14-year-old were also among the victims of Indian state terrorism. It said 355 Kashmiri Muslims and 95 forces’ personnel lost their lives in 2018. »

Srinagar, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, has strongly condemned the attempt to desecrate the Masjid by a group of masked hooligans on Friday.

A statement issued by the Auqaf in Sriangar said that a group of masked elements entered the mosque and rushed to the pulpit when one among them stood atop the pulpit with his shoes on, screaming slogans and creating ruckus. “In the meantime, his associates videotaped it and the video has been put on social media. This clearly indicates that this incident was deliberate and planned,” the statement read. »

Jammu, December 30 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a low-intensity explosion rocked the General Bus Stand in Jammu last night. The explosive was apparently lobbed to target the police station building in the vicinity.

Police said it is suspected that a grenade was thrown from a moving vehicle to target the police station building, located near the main entrance of the bus stand. »
