APHC chairman condoles demise of Grand Mufti

Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, resistance leaders and organizations including the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani have paid glowing tributes to a youth, Hilal Ahmed Rathar who was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation at Ratnipora in Pulwama district.

Syed Ali Gilani while paying rich tributes to the youth in a statement in Srinagar said, “Our youth are sacrificing their precious lives, every day, for the sacred cause making all of us duty-bound to safeguard these sacrifices with utmost commitment and dedication to pursue this cause.”

He said, “India is suffering from arrogance of power and has tried its best to muzzle our voice but has utterly failed to do so. New Delhi’s military might and its brutality can never deter us from our much cherished goal of right to self-determination.” He said, “The situation in the Valley is worsening with each passing day and authorities are just relying on their military might to suppress people’s aspirations.” »

Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt during his visit to Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar.

Zafar Akbar Butt along with a delegation was in Nowgam to participate in the funeral prayers of some locals. He also visited a local graveyard and offered Fateha for Kashmiri martyrs including Showkat, Muhammad Usman and Hilal Ahmed.

Zafar Butt also addressed a public gathering before his arrest by the police. He was on his way home when a police party intercepted his vehicle and took him into custody. »

New Delhi, February 13 (KMS): Indian media has reported that Home Ministry has blocked the visa to renowned Pakistani religious scholar, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, over his recent speech in which he had asked for settlement of the Kashmir dispute through the plebiscite.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in his speech had said, “Kashmiris should be able to choose freedom through a plebiscite.”

Indian daily, The Hindu, reported that Dr Qadri’s visit to India had run into trouble as Indian security agencies red-flagged his recent speech.

Qadri’s visa was cleared by the Ministry of External Affairs, but the Home Ministry has blocked it, the newspaper said quoting its sources. »

Srinagar, February 13 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two more Kashmiri youth in Budgam district, today.

The troops martyred the youth during a cordon and search operation at Wathroora in Chadoora area of the district. The operation was going on till last reports came in.

Washington, February 13 KMS): Dr Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General, World Kashmir Awareness Forum has said that liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt was hanged by India’s authorities for protesting their illegal and iron-fisted occupation of Kashmir since 1947.

Dr Fai said this while addressing members of Kashmiri American community in Washington who had gathered to commemorate the 35th martyrdom anniversary of Kashmiri liberation leader, Mohammad Maqbool Butt in Washington. The community renewed commitment to achieve the hero’s dream: Kashmiri self-determination as agreed upon both India and Pakistan. »
