JRL strongly denounces victimization of Muslims

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hindu fanatics affiliated with Bharatiya Janata Party, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other extremist organizations torched dozens of vehicles of Muslims in Jammu city, today.

Hundreds of members of extremist Hindu organizations took to the streets of Jammu city, today, and protested against the killing of Indian troops in an explosion at Lethpora in Pulwama, yesterday. At least 49 troops were killed in the blast. The Hindu goons set afire at least fifty vehicles of Muslims in Gujjar Nagar and Prem Nagar areas of the city. Eyewitnesses said that the protesters raised anti-Kashmir, anti-Pakistan and other provocative slogans. Following the violence by the Hindu fanatics, the occupation authorities imposed curfew and suspended internet service in the city. »

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori has paid tributes to Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, an active freedom fighter of 1970s and prominent Kashmiri liberation leader, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori addressing a function in Sopore said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste. He said that Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru sacrificed their lives for Kashmir cause and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori also demanded the return of mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guri to Kashmir for proper burial. »

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Ghulam Nabi Waseem, Sajjad Ahmad and Tahoor Siddiqi, today, visited the house of Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam to express sympathy and solidarity with him and his family on the death of his father, Mufti Bashiruddin.

Speaking to the mourners, Shabbir Ahmed Dar said that late Grand Mufti Bashiruddin was a man of immense qualities who served the people with commitment and conviction. He was not only a religious scholar but also a social reformer and a great humanist, he added. »

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): Fear gripped the Kashmiri students studying in different colleges of India’s Dehradun city after unruly mobs thrashed some of them.

Srinagar-based English daily quoted a Kashmiri student as having said over phone from Dehradun that in city’s Sudhowala locality a mob barged into the rented accommodation of a Kashmiri student and thrashed him. »

Islamabad, February15 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has paid glowing tributes to Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, an enthusiastic and active freedom fighter of 1970s, who raised banner of revolt against the Indra-Abdullah Accord of 1975.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad said Ghulam Muhammad Bulla organised protest demonstrations in Sopore which encouraged rest of the Valley to demand plebiscite in the disputed territory. He said police Indian arrested Bulla and brutally tortured him in custody resulting in his martyrdom on February 15, 1975 in Srinagar Central Jail. »

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has strongly condemned the slapping of draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on illegally detained party leader, Zahoor Ahmed Butt, for second time. Zahoor Butt has been lodged at Islamabad sub-jail.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the High Court of the territory had recently quashed the PSA invoked against Zahoor Butt and the authorities shifted him to Kupwara jail from Kot Bhalwal where he has again been slapped with PSA. »

The journalists tried to reach the spot of an explosion, which resulted in the killing of over 40 Indian troops and injuring of dozens others, in Lethpora area of the district, yesterday. However, Indian police and troops did not allow them to visit the site. »

Srinagar, February 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has said that the Kashmiri children and students are the worst and prime victims of Indian state terrorism in the territory.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over the injuring of 28 children in a mysterious explosion in a school in Pulwama. He said the Kashmiri children and students, who are the worst and prime victims of the Indian brutalities, have been exposed to different kinds of vulnerabilities in the occupied territory. »
