Speakers express concern over deteriorating IOK situation

London, February 17 (KMS): The members of UK and European Parliament and Kashmiri leaders, expressing concern over the deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir, demanding peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute.

The members of UK and European Parliament and Kashmiri leaders were addressing a seminar. The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self Determination Movement International, UK, Raja Najabat Hussain chaired the seminar while opposition leader in AJK Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin was chief guest on the occasion.

The leaders said that friends of Kashmir are present in every parliament of the UK and Europe who would continue their support for Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. They urged India and Pakistan to initiate dialogue on Kashmir dispute and ensure the participation of genuine leadership of the people of Kashmir in the dialogue process.

They said that Kashmiris living in UK and Europe would raise the voice of their helpless Kashmiri brethren at international level and would knock at every door for granting them their birthright to self-determination. They said after European Parliament, protest will be held in Geneva, US and in front of the United Nations against the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

Chaudhry Yasin addressing the seminar said if the people of occupied Kashmir raise their voice against the Indian atrocities, Indian forces’ personnel barged into their houses and martyr the youth and torture their women and children. He said the people of Kashmir are rendering unprecedented sacrifices for Kashmir cause and their voice would be conveyed at all global forums.

Raja Najabat Hussain addressing the seminar said that they would continue the struggle till complete success. He said that that next week they would apprise the European Parliament of the current situation of occupied Kashmir and would urge them to raise voice in their respective parliaments against the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory.

The Chairperson of Friends of Kashmir in the European Parliament, MEP Anthea McIntyre, former Lord Mayor, Chaudhry Bagh Ali and other dignitaries also addressed the seminar.
