Farooq Rehmani hails PM Imran’s Kashmir remarks

Islamabad, February 21 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has hailed the statement of the Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, on the developments in Kashmir and how India distorts them and maligns this country.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said that it was a right approach at the right time as taken by Pakistan to death escalate the tension and quickly move forward on the path of peace and dialogue to address the long standing dispute in line with the international law and relevant UN resolutions on Kashmir.

He noted that instead of removing log in its own eyes India was searching straws in the eyes of Kashmiris and making their alienation complete. He also strongly condemned assaults on the Kashmiris and Jammu/Pooch Muslims in Jammu and Indian cities during last few days.

He said that the scared and stranded people had been forced to take shelter in local mosques of Jammu for fear of being lynched by RSS vigilantes, who had plunged Jammu and RSS strongholds in sweeping anger and hate wave against the Muslims in India.

He urged the Government of India to protect life, honour and property of the Jammu Muslims. He called upon the UN Secretary General to apprise the World Body of the Kashmir developments and initiate measures towards a meaningful dialogue for the final resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
