Srinagar, February 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an officer of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) committed suicide in Poonch district.

An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of 168 BSF, GD Karamvir Singh, during duty hours shot himself dead with his service rifle inside a bunker at Balnoie in Mankote area of the district. Singh hailed from Panipat city in the Indian state of Harayana.

This incident raised the number of such deaths amongst the Indian troops and police personnel to 423 in occupied Kashmir since January 2007 till date.
