Bradford, February 22 (KMS): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Self-determination Movement International, Raja Najabat Hussain, has hailed the efforts of the British members of European Parliament for effectively raising their voice in favour of the oppressed people of occupied Kashmir in the Sub-Committee of Human Rights of the European Parliament in Brussels.
An overwhelming majority of members of the European Parliament, recently attending a landmark event on the rights situation in occupied Kashmir, urged India to immediately put a halt to its atrocities and carry out investigations into the incidents of grave human rights violations in the territory.
Raja Najabat Hussain addressing a press conference in Bradford, UK, said that the office bearers of Friends of Kashmir in the European Parliament, had accelerated their efforts and demanded of the India and the United Nations to give Kashmiris their rights. He said they also demanded the implementation of the report on Kashmir of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
He also thanked the Pakistanis and Kashmiris especially AJK President, Sardar Masood Khan, AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan, former prime minister of AJK, Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan, former prime minister of AJK, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry and opposition leader in the AJK Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin besides Kashmiri leaders, Syed Yusuf Naseem, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Sheikh Tajammul-ul-Islam, Abdul Hameed Lone, Syed Ejaz Rehmani, Shamim Shawl, Altaf Hussain Wani and Dr Nazir Gilani for helping and cooperating with the Jammu and Kashmir Self-determination Movement International in its efforts to highlight at the world fora the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
Raja Najabat was flanked by his colleagues, Sardar Abdur Rehman Khan, Raja Ghazanfar Khaliq, Muhammad Boota Hery and Muhammad Rasheed Chaudhary.
