Complete shutdown in Kulgam, Mandi town

Troops launch search operation in Hajin

Srinagar, February 25 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown is being observed in Kulgam district and in Mandi town of Pir Panjal area against the killings and in defense of Article 35A of the Indian constitution.

All shops and other commercial establishments are closed while traffic is off the roads in Kulgam district. Three youth including Rakib Ahmed Sheikh and Gulzar Ahmed Butt were killed by Indian troops during cordon and search operation in Turigam area of the district, yesterday.

A complete shutdown is being observed in Mandi town of Poonch in defense of Article 35A. All shops and other commercial establishments are closed while transport is off the roads.

The traders and members of religious bodies in Mandi have called for shutdown in favour of Article 35A.

Meanwhile, Indian troops of 13 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force and Special Operation Group launched a door-to-door operation at Mir Mohalla in Hajin area of Bandipore district.
