OIC reaffirms unwavering support to Kashmiris

Srinagar, March 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that the Indian government has declared a full-fledged war on the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that New Delhi was targeting Muslim majority population in Kashmir the way Israel was doing in Palestine. He stressed the need for unity to thwart India’s brutal designs. He also called for a collective narrative against the ban on the Jamaat-e-Islami of the territory by the Indian government. »

Srinagar, March 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a complete shutdown is being observed on Sunday against the detention of two religious clerics from Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district Indian police during a nocturnal raid.

Maulana Noor Ahmad Trali, the chairman of Darul Uloom Noor Ul Islam and Ghulam Nabi Molvi, Khateeb of Jamia Masjid Dardsara, Tral, were detained by police from their residences last night.

All shops and business establishments are closed in Tral.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “If we turn a blind eye to the onslaught on our basic and fundamental rights the day will not be too far when we all will be kicked out of our residences to accommodate their majority, same way the Zionist Israel has done in Palestine.” »

Geneva, March 03 (KMS): The first conference on the UN Report on the situation of human rights in Kashmir was conducted at the Palais des Nations (United Nations) has called for holding a panel discussion in the United Nations Human Rights Counsel (UNHRC) on the UN Kashmir Report that may lead to the formation of an independent enquiry commission to investigate gross human rights violations in Kashmir.

The conference was organised by International Human Rights Association of American Minorities (IHRAAM) with the support of International Muslim Women’s Union (IMWU), International Commission for Human Rights (ICHR) and South Asia Centre for Peace and Human Rights (SACFPHR). »

Islamabad, March 03 (KMS): The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s Council of Foreign Ministers reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Kashmiri people in their just cause and condemned in the strongest terms the recent wave of Indian terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

In a resolution adopted by the 46th session of Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), the OIC member states reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir remains the core dispute between Pakistan and India and its resolution is indispensable for the dream for peace in South Asia. The OIC resolution expressed deep concern over the atrocities and human rights violations by Indian forces in occupied Kashmir. »

Srinagar, March 03 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities continued crackdown on Jamaat-e-Islami as residences of dozens of party activists were raided and offices and other buildings of the organisation were sealed by the Indian authorities.

District magistrates of the majority of the districts in the Valley ordered sealing all institutions and properties linked to the Jamaat. Police said they only assist the magistrates in sealing the properties. In Srinagar, homes of Jamaat activists and offices of the organisation were sealed in Barzulla and Bemina. In Ganderbal district one office was sealed. »
