Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen has said that the International Women’s Day will be observed as Black Day.

Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen Chairperson, Zamrooda Habib, in a statement issued in Srinagar said the day is meant to celebrate social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women but the women in Jammu and Kashmir have nothing to celebrate amid presence of bulk of Indian forces. »

Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Maisuma area of Srinagar district is observing a complete shutdown, today, against the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act on Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and his shifting to a jail in Jammu by the authoriteis.

All shops and other business establishments are closed in Maisuma and adjacent areas after news about the slapping of draconian law PSA on Muhammad Yasin Malik and shifting to Jammu jail was spread among the local residents.

The JKLF chief, who was detained on February 22, was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu.

Lucknow, March 07 (KMS): Two dry fruit vendors from Kashmir were assaulted by a group of Hindu fanatics belonging to the ruling extremist party in Lucknow, today.

Reports said the Kashmiri vendors were sitting on a busy road when they were attacked by the goons, who shared the video of the assault on social media.

The incident took place yesterday. The men who assaulted the traders can be heard in widely-circulated videos saying they are doing it because the vendors are from Kashmir. »

London, March 07 (KMS): The Chairperson of All-Party Parliamentary Kashmir Group (APPKG) in the UK Parliament, Debbie Abrahams, has submitted a resolution in the Parliament seeking settlement of the Kashmir dispute and an end to uncertainty between Pakistan and India.

The resolution said that the unresolved Kashmir dispute was the main cause of tension between the two nuclear neighbours and its settlement could bring progress and prosperity in the region. The resolution asked the UK government and Parliament to play their moral role in resolution of the Kashmir dispute so that the people of Kashmir could be given an opportunity to spend their life according to their aspirations. »

Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday condemned the slapping of draconian Public Safety Act on Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik and shifting him to Kotbhalwal jail in Jammu.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq taking to Twitter said, “I strongly condemn the slapping of draconian PSA on Muhammad Yasin Malik and shifting to Kotbhalwal Jail in Jammu by the authorities.

“These illegal & undemocratic tactics will not stop people and leadership from demanding peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with people’s aspirations,” Mirwaiz wrote on his Twitter handle. »

Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, as many as 30 people, five of them critically, were injured in a blast in Jammu city, today.

A mysterious blast occurred at bus stand in the city, resulting in injuries to around two and half dozen people. The injured were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident, Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the area and started frisking people. Further details are awaited.

Srinagar, March 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasri-ul-Islam, reacting to the statement of Indian parliamentarian, Subramaniam Swamy, has said that India’s genesis to secure justice, social, economic and political liberty of thought of all its citizens and equality of status reduced to a mockery as far as Muslims of India are concerned.
