Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has condemned the grenade blast at a bus stand in Jammu.
A mysterious blast occurred at bus stand in the city, yesterday, in which one person was killed and thirty-two other people were injured. One of the injured succumbed to his injuries, today.
The JRL in a statement issued in Srinagar said that attacks on unarmed civilians are the most reproachful act which should be condemned by all civilized people. It prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the blast and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
The Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement in Srinagar condemned the Jammu blast and expressed pain and sadness over the death of two innocent persons and injuring of others. He said such cowardly attacks on innocent unarmed civilians are the most shameful acts, which should be condemned in strongest terms. It is a senseless and condemnable act of violence to sabotage the peaceful political struggle, he added
He also condemned the continued assaults on Kashmiris in Indian cities and a recent one in Lucknow where right wing extremists attacked few Kashmiri fruit vendors. He said such attacks are a manifestation of the hate-mongering being perpetrated against Kashmiris in a planned manner on the behest of ruling dispensation.
Meanwhile, Hizbul Mujahideen chief, Syed Salahudin, in a statement, condemning the Jammu blast said that Indian secret agencies were behind the incident. He said that the Indian agencies were trying to defame the sacred freedom struggle in Kashmir by resorting to such actions and putting blame on the freedom fighters.
