Srinagar, March 08 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the patron of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement (JKMM), Farida Bahenji, and senior Hurriyat leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori have said that the world is commemorating the women’s rights and prosperity, today, but the Kashmiri women are facing the humiliation every day.

Farida Bahenji in a statement in Srinagar deplored that Indian troops had killed and subjected to custodial disappearance the sons, husbands, fathers and brothers of thousands of women in the occupied territory.

She appealed to the United Nations and the international human rights organizations to play role in granting the Kashmiris their birthright to self-determination for which Kashmiri youth have rendered their lives.

Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the women of Kashmir were also struggling for liberation of Kashmir along with their men and were being punished for raising their voice for settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He said thousands of Kashmiri women have lost their sons, husbands, brothers and fathers in the ongoing liberation movement.
