Indian troops launch CASOs in Shopian » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, March 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, today.

The troops sealed all entry and exit points of Heff Shirmal and Molu areas of the district early morning today and started door-to-door searches.

The troops also started a similar operation in Chitragam area of the district where searches were going on when this report was filed. The operations continued till last reports came in. Further details are awaited.

On the other hand, the troops had launched a search operation after unknown men snatched a weapon from the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana, last night.

Some unknown persons snatched an AK-47 rifle from PSO Daleep Kumar at Shaheedi Mazar area of Kishtwar town at around 10 pm on Friday. Soon after the incident, Indian troops and police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
