Several youth injured in troops’ firing
Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has condemned the summoning of his younger son, Syed Naseem Gilani, by India’s National Investigation Agency in the name of questioning saying that Indian agencies are harassing his family members to pressurise him into submission.

The octogenarian leader in a statement issued in Srinagar said that he had willingly adopted the torturous and thorny path of pursuing the movement for the basic rights of his people and no power on earth could deter him from this holy mission. The statement came two days after Dr Naseem Gilani was summoned by the NIA to New Delhi for questioning. »

Thousands attend funeral prayers of martyred youth

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, several youth were injured when Indian troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on protesters in Baramulla district.

Indian troops during a violent cordon and search operation and door-to-door searches fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells on the people who were protesting against the Indian army’s operation at Tantrey Pora in Palhalan area of the district. The injured youth were taken to hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Indian troops forced people to come out of their houses despite heavy rain at Gonipora in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district. The locals told media men that they were forced to stay in the open for hours. »

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district on Sunday.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the Kashmir conflict continues to suck the blood of humans. He deplored that only the arrogance and deceitful attitude of the oppressor (India) was responsible for this unending bloodshed. However, he reiterated that people of Kashmir would not compromise this sacred mission of their martyrs. »

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Awami Action Committee has said that the summoning of its Patron and Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, by India’s National Investigation Agency is a direct interference in religious matters.

The JKCSCC members addressing a press conference in Srinagar said that the JKCSCC on behalf of people of Jammu and Kashmir had filed a writ petition before the top court of India challenging the recent presidential order, which they termed as an attack on Article 370. »

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the scientific fraternity of Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology has expressed concern over arbitrary quizzing of Dr Syed Naseem Gilani, senior scientist faculty of forestry of the university.

The fraternity head, Dr S A Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Arbitrary summoning and quizzing of Dr Gilani amounts to harassment and mental torture of such a scientist of repute besides affecting the university academics.” »
