Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, in yet another move to spread waywardness among the local youth, establishment of new liquor outlets has been encouraged under President’s rule in the territory.

The rule has been promulgated in the name of a new excise policy, which was made applicable in the occupied territory, last month, and will remain in force till 2020.

Under the policy, any new liquor vends will be allowed to come up at a minimum distance of 100 meters from religious places, schools, hospitals, and nearest liquor shops as against 300 meters minimum distance in the earlier excise policy. »

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Human Rights Commission has sought a report on the killing of a civilian during a cordon and search operation by Indian troops at Babagund in Handwara area of Kupwara district in the last week of February, 2019.

The commission sought the report on the killing of Waseem Ahmed from Commissioner Secretary Home, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Director General of Police, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kupwara.

The Commission also directed the officials to file a report on the damages caused to nearly a dozen residential houses during a military operation at Babagund which began on February 28 and lasted for more than 72 hours. »

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has said that India has launched an all-out war against the defenseless people of the territory to intimidate them into submission.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed pain and anguish over the prevailing grim situation in occupied Kashmir. “Parents receiving charred bodies, houses razed to ground, young human lives lost every day. An all-out war has been launched against the defenseless Kashmiri people as every lethal weapon is being used with the clear aim of dismantling the rights and to force the Kashmiri people into submission,” he said. »

Srinagar, March 12 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyat leaders have paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district on Sunday.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the Kashmir conflict continues to suck the blood of humans. He deplored that only the arrogance and deceitful attitude of the oppressor (India) was responsible for this unending bloodshed. However, he reiterated that people of Kashmir would not compromise this sacred mission of their martyrs. »
