India deliberately prolonging detentions
Srinagar, March 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India is using its National Investigation Agency alongside more than a million troops equipped with a deep investigative network to inflict more sufferings on the Kashmiri people.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned NIA summons to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other Hurriyat leaders and said New Delhi was using the probe agency and the Directorate Enforcement as tools to strangulate every voice of dissent in the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, March 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the human rights commission has issued a notice to the Indian authorities including the Home Secretary to respond on a petition seeking relocation of the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, from Jammu’s Kot Bhalwal jail to a jail in Srinagar.

The petition was filed by rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Untoo who stated before the commission that Yasin Malik was arrested in a false case and detained under draconian Public Safety Act at Kot Bhalawal jail in Jammu in violation of the rules. »

NIA deliberately delaying case, Delhi Court told

Srinagar, March 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained three persons in Kishtwar district.

The Indian agency conducted raids and arrested Irshad Ahmed Kant, Jaffar Hussain and Irshad Mochi in Huller and Hanjala areas of the district in connection with the killing of senior BJP leader from Kishtwar, Anil Parihar and his brother Ajit Parihar. »

Srinagar, March 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jamaat-e-Islami has expressed its deep concern over the arrest of its legal expert, Mir Assad Ullah, by Indian police terming it a well-planned move to prevent Jamaat from approaching the court to contest the baseless allegations against the socio-religious political party.

The Jamaat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said, police called Jamaat senior member, Mir Assad Ullah to Pulwama police station a few days ago, and put him in illegal custody with an aim to stop him from pursuing legal course. The statement said the move is a deliberate attempt on the part of the governor administration to disallow Jamaat to approach court and contest the concocted allegations against it. »

Srinagar, March 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, authorities on Thursday booked religious scholar and Jamiat Ahle Hadees vice President, Moulvi Mushtaq Veeri under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted him to a jail in Jammu.

Veeri was arrested on February 23 from his residence, the day when dozens of Jamaat-e-Islami activists were also arrested. »

Hurriyat forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said after the illegal raid at Mirwaiz residence the media through propaganda and lies is already passing its verdict on Mirwaiz to vitiate public opinion against him. »

Srinagar, March 14 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has denounced the arrest of all party and Hurriyat leaders and activists saying the authorities are deliberately prolonging their illegal detention in blatant violation of right to access to justice.

Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over the deteriorating health condition of Ghulam Mohiuddin Mir and Mohammad Abbas Wani and said they are facing extreme suppression in terms of the absence of all the basic facilities guaranteed by the jail manual. »

The PSA detention dossier prepared by police and signed by the Srinagar district magistrate cites ridiculous charges like Muhammad Yasin Malik Malik openly challenges the so-called accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India and strives hard for securing freedom from India. “From the year 2016 till date he has been much active in sabotaging the peace and public tranquility of the” territory, the dossier said. »
