Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that they will continue to seek peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute and New Delhi cannot intimidate them.

Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) organized a peaceful protest at Hyderpora in Srinagar against the Indian state repression in the territory.

Besides a large number of people, Hurriyat leaders including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Ameer Hamza Shah, Bilal Siddiqi, Syed Mohammad Shafi, Mohammad Maqbool Magami, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Amin Butt, Imran Ahmad Butt, Haji Qadoos, Zahoor-ul-Haq Gilani and Mohammad Rafiq Shah participated in the demonstration.

Addressing the demonstration, APHC leaders termed the random detention of resistance leaders in occupied Kashmir as blot on the face of India, which claims to be the largest democracy of the world.

They also condemned the fascist ploys like of booking Muhammad Yasin Malik and others Hurriyat leaders under PSA, issuing summon to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Dr Naseem Gilani by NIA, the spree of mass arrests and ban on Jamaat-e-Islami.

Members of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) staged a protest demonstration in Aabi Guzar area of Srinagar, demanding the release of party Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik and religious scholar, Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri.

Soon after the culmination of Friday prayers, scores of the JKLF leaders and activists assembled in Aabi Guzar and demanded release of all illegally detained political leaders and activists languishing in different jails. Besides a large number of people belonging to various walks of life, JKLF leaders including Showkat Ahmed Bakhshi, Sheikh Abdul Rasheed, Muhammad Sideeq Shah and Professor Javaid participated in the demonstration.

The activists of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian held protest demonstrations in Budgam and Hassanabad in Srinagar against the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and arrest and harassment of political leaders. Agha Syed Akeel Al-Moosvi led the protest in Budgam.

Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have strongly condemned the terror attack on the twin mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, wherein over 40 people were killed, today.

The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani in a statement in Srinagar termed it a heinous and brutal act not only against the Muslims but also the humanity. He said that anybody with a human heart will find his words insufficient in condemning this brutal act. »

Forceful anti-India demonstrations in Srinagar, Badgam

Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, has said that the Kashmiri people will continue to seek peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute and India will not be able to intimidate them into submission through use of repressive measures.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing a public gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, said that since 1947, conspiracies were being hatched against the Kashmiri people, leadership and the pulpit of Jamia Masjid but the freedom struggle continued despite massive assaults by New Delhi. Without naming India’s National Investigation Agency which has again summoned him to Delhi for questioning on Monday in a false case registered against him, he said that repressive tactics of the Indian government to silence the Hurriyat leadership would not change the dynamics of the Kashmir dispute. Soon after the culmination of Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid, scores of people including men, women and children marched from the historic mosque to Mirwaiz Manzil at Rajouri Kadal, denouncing the harassment of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by the NIA. »

Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Jamiat Ahle Hadith has condemned the slapping of draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on party’s Vice President and religious scholar, Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri, and shifting him to a Jammu jail.

Jamiat Ahle Hadith President, Professor Ghulam Muhammad Butt Al-Madni, and Nazim-e-Aala, Dr Abdul Latif Al-Kandi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that such cheap tactics by the occupation authorities could not weaken the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people. They said Jamiat Ahle Hadith is a purely religious and welfare organization and it would not remain silent over the arrests of its religious scholars. »

Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): Belongings of at least eight Kashmiri students studying at the Baba Farid Institute of Technology, Dehradun, who returned to the valley recently in the aftermath of the Pulwama incident last month, are missing after rightwing extremists vandalized their rented room in the vicinity of the institution.

Muhammad Asif, who is pursuing Master’s in Geography at the institute, talking to media men in Srinagar over phone said that the day they left for the valley, eight of them had kept their belongings inside a rented room at a flat in the vicinity of the institute.

“When we returned to the room a couple of days back, the lock had been broken. Almost all our stuff, including a laptop and other documents, has been taken,” he said. »

India’s Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) test fired indigenously developed, low weight, fire and forget Man Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile (MPATGM) for the second time in the ranges of Rajasthan desert.

New Delhi, March 15 (KMS): India’s Enforcement Directorate (ED), today, moved a Delhi court seeking its nod to quiz illegally detained Hurriyat leader, Altaf Ahmed Shah, in connection with a false case registered against him.

The ED also sought to question a Kashmiri businessman, Zahoor Watali, over his friendship with Pakistani leaders and Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, and Naval Kishore Kapoor, a UAE-based businessman.

Altaf Ahmed Shah, Zahoor Watali and Kishore Kapoor were arrested by India’s National Investigation Agency in a false case and are presently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail. »

Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, charred body of a tradesman was found in army camp in Kupwara district, today.

Body of the tradesman (tailor) identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Pir (31), who was working as a tailor with the Indian Army, was found at the 175 TA Regiment Engineering camp in Panzgam area of the district.

The troops cordoned off Tiken area in the district and launched door-to-door searches. The operation continued till reports last came in.
