Srinagar, March 15 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that they will continue to seek peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute and New Delhi cannot intimidate them.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressing Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, said, “Since 1947 conspiracies were hatched against the people, the leadership and the pulpit of Jamia Masjid but Kashmir struggle continued despite massive assaults by Delhi.”

Without naming India’s National Investigation Agency, which has summoned him to New Delhi for questioning in a fake funding case, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said: “We are not going to bow down and Delhi can’t force us into submission by intimidating us.”

After the restrictions for two consecutive weeks, the Friday prayers were offered at historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today.

Meanwhile, scores of people including men, women and children after the Friday prayers marched from the historic Jamia Masjid to Mirwaiz Manzil at Rajouri Kadal in Srinagar denouncing the harassment of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by the Indian National Investigation Agency. Chanting slogans in favour of Mirwaiz, the protesters condemned the NIA summons to him and the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami.

On the other hand, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, addressing a condolence meeting in Budgam condemned the slapping of draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on JKLF Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik and renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Mushtaq Ahmad Veeri. He said the occupation are implicating the resistance leaders, Islamic scholars and Kashmiri youth in false cases

He said people of Kashmir are fighting politically and diplomatically for securing their right to self-determination and would continue their struggle till complete success.
