Samad Inqilabi threatens hunger strike in Jammu Jail » Kashmir Media Service

Srinagar, March 20 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Abdul Samad Inqilabi, has announced to start hunger strike from March 24 against inhuman treatment meted out by the jail authorities to him and other political prisoners lodged at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

A spokesman of n Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi in a statement issued in Srinagar said Abdul Samad Inqilabi, who is suffering from multiple ailments, is not being provided medical facilities despite court orders.

The spokesman said that the illegally detained party chairman was not produced before the courts on the scheduled dates of hearing and even was kept uninformed about the hearing of the false cases registered against him. He said that Abdul Samad Inqilabi was to be produced before Sessions Court, Kupwara, on March 05, 2019 and March 07, 2019 before a Srinagar court, but he was neither informed about hearing dates, nor was produced before the courts.
