Srinagar, March 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, two Indian policemen, including an officer, were injured in a grenade blast in Sopore town of Baramulla district, today.

Unidentified persons lobbed a grenade at a police party at Main Chowk Sopore. Two policemen, including the station house officer of Dangiwacha Police Station, sustained injuries in the explosion. The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Soon after the incident, Indian troops and police personnel cordoned off the area and launched searches to nab the attackers. »

Srinagar, Mar 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have booked at least nine persons including four Hurriyat activists under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA) and were shifted to Kotbalwal Jail in Jammu.

All the nine people were arrested during nocturnal raids in the past one month.

Those booked under PSA include Hurriyat activists, Imtiyaz Haider, Tashoq Ahmed, Ghulam Muhammad Misgar and Muhammad Yousuf as well as a government school teacher and Jamaat-e-Islami leader, Arshad Ahmed.

After being booked under the black law, all the nine persons have been shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu. »

Srinagar, March 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops have launched massive cordon and search operations (CASO) in Bandipora and Baramulla districts.

The troops cordoned off Mir Mohalla, Wahab Parray Mohalla and Baniyari areas of Hajin town in Bandipora district and started house to house searches. The occupation authorities suspended mobile internet services in the district.

The troops also laid siege around Warpora and Kalantara areas of Baramulla district. The troops sealed all the entry and exit points and launched door-to-door searches.

The operations continued when last reports came in.

Srinagar, March 21 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian soldier has killed his three colleagues in Udhampur district.

A soldier of Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Ajit Kumar, opened fired on his colleagues killing three of them at the 187 battalion unit in Battal Ballian area of the district, a police official told media men. »

Paris, March 21 (KMS): Paris-based human rights organization, International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), an amalgam of 184 organisations from 112 countries, has published a briefing note detailing key human rights issues of concern in occupied Kashmir.

The FIDH and its partner organizations Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) and Jammu and Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS) together have demanded full and unfettered access to occupied Kashmir to the UN bodies and representatives, foreign and domestic human rights organizations, and foreign and local journalists. »
