Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e- Hurriyat, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has expressed concern over the loss of precious young human lives, especially the killing of 12-year-old boy during the operations by Indian forces in Bandipora, Baramulla and Shopian.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said it is painful to see every day loss of precious human lives and properties. The people in Kashmir continue to suffer massively due to the unresolved Kashmir dispute for the past several decades, he deplored. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have greeted the government and the people of Pakistan on the eve of their National Day, the 23 March.

The Chairman of Young Men’s League, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, chairing an extra-ordinary meeting of his party in Srinagar said a strong Pakistan is need of the hour and hoped that Pakistan would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir in their struggle for securing right to self-determination.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement, Mir Shahid Saleem, in a statement in Jammu felicitating the people and government of Pakistan on their national day, prayed for the stability and development of Pakistan and said the whole Muslim world is looking towards the Pakistan as their guardian and patron. »

Etawah (India), March 22 (KMS): Pulwama incident was a conspiracy to garner votes in the general elections, said General Secretary of Samajwadi Party, Ramgopal Yadav, in an apparent reference to the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi-led BJP.

Ramgopal Yadav speaking at a programme at Saifai, the ancestral village of Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh, said, “For the first time, it happened that there was no checking between Jammu and Srinagar. It was for the first time that the CRPF jawans were sent in simple buses. The point where the armoured vehicles were available, no one stopped there and they proceeded, and lives were lost.”

“This was a conspiracy…But, when there will be a change of government, investigations will be done and prominent people will come under the scanner, who had pushed our youth to death to garner votes,” he said.

New Delhi, March 22 (KMS): The special cell of Delhi Police has arrested a Kashmiri youth in the Indian capital.

Reports said the police arrested 27-year-old Sajjad Khan, a resident of Pulwama, from south Delhi. India’s infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) was also looking for Sajjad in connection with a false case registered against him.

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful demonstrations in Tral area of Pulwama district after Indian police and troops arrested more than a dozen youth from various areas.

The families and relatives of the arrested youth assembled at Bus Stand in Tral and marched towards the main market. The protesters were demanding immediate release of the detainees. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of International Forum for Justice, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, met with the illegally detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

Muhammad Yasin Malik was lodged at Kot Bhalwal Jail after being booked under the black law, Public Safety Act (PSA).

Muhammad Ahsan Untoo after meeting Yasin Malik told media persons in Srinagar that the health of the JKLF Chairman was deteriorating in jail. He added that ill-treatment is being meted out to the JKLF chief at jail, which is highly condemnable. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has condemned the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on party leaders and termed it sheer injustice.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said slapping PSA on Syed Imtiyaz Haider, Tashooq Ahmed Banday, Manzoor Ahmed Butt and Farooq Ahmed Shah and shifting them to far-flung jails is a mockery of justice.

He said the jails and interrogation centres have been filled with innocent people and many Kashmiri detainees have been shifted to jails outside the valley. He said these repressive measures are being used as a tool to punish the Kashmiris for their political belief. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the authorities imposed restrictions in downtown Srinagar, today, and prevented people from offering Juma prayers at historic Jamia Masjid.

The occupation authorities have placed under house detention the Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who delivers weekly Friday sermon at the grand mosque.

The authorities also deployed Indian troops and police personnel in large numbers in different areas of Srinagar to prevent protests called by the Joint Resistance Leadership against the custodial killing of a school principal, Rizwan Asad and other Indian atrocities on the people of the occupied territory. »

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people, today, attended the funeral prayers of a martyred youth in Arampora area of Baramulla district, today.

The youth, Aamir Rasool Kaboo, was martyred along with another youth by Indian troops during a violent cordon and search operation in Kalantra area of the district, last night.

Witnesses said that thousands of people assembled at Aamir’s home in Arampora today morning to take part in his last rites. His body was handed over to the family shortly before midnight, yesterday. »

Authorities book 11 Hurriyet activists under draconian PSA

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiris including a minor boy in Bandipora and Shopian districts, today, taking the number of martyred to seven since yesterday.

The troops martyred two Kashmiris including a 12-year-old boy, Atif Ahmed Mir, during continued cordon and search operation in Mir Mohalla area of Hajin town in Bandipora district and two others in Gadapora area of Shopian district, today. »
