Authorities book 11 Hurriyet activists under draconian PSA

Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiris including a minor boy in Bandipora and Shopian districts, today, taking the number of martyred to seven since yesterday.

The troops martyred two Kashmiris including a 12-year-old boy, Atif Ahmed Mir, during continued cordon and search operation in Mir Mohalla area of Hajin town in Bandipora district and two others in Gadapora area of Shopian district, today.

The troops had killed two youth in Kalantra area of Baramulla district and one in Hajin town yesterday.

The troops also continue cordon and search operations in different areas of Bandipora, Baramulla and Pulwama districts.

On the other hand, thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of a martyred youth, Aamir Rasool Kaboo, in Sopore, today. Aamir was killed along with another youth by the troops at Kalantra in Baramulla, last night. Complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore town and its adjoining areas against the killing of the youth.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have booked eleven Hurriyat activists including Farooq Ahmed Shah and Bashir Ahmed under black law, Public Safety Act since Wednesday. All the detainees were lodged in Kot Bhalwal and other jails in Jammu.
