Srinagar, March 22 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has condemned the slapping of draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), on party leaders and termed it sheer injustice.
Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said slapping PSA on Syed Imtiyaz Haider, Tashooq Ahmed Banday, Manzoor Ahmed Butt and Farooq Ahmed Shah and shifting them to far-flung jails is a mockery of justice.
He said the jails and interrogation centres have been filled with innocent people and many Kashmiri detainees have been shifted to jails outside the valley. He said these repressive measures are being used as a tool to punish the Kashmiris for their political belief.
“We live in an arbitrary environment where the voice of peaceful dissent is always put under strong curbs,” Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai said.
