Srinagar, March 26 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police and troops in a pre-dawn raid, today, arrested several youth from Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Local residents told media men that a huge contingent of Indian police and troops cordoned off Janwara area of Sopore in the wee hours, today, raided several residential houses and detained over a dozen youth. They said that the raids created panic in the entire area. They said that these youth were arrested for participating in anti-India demonstrations.

Sopore had witnessed massive demonstrations and intense clashes between protesters and Indian forces’ personnel after the killing of two youth by Indian troops in Warpora area.

Indian troops and police personnel had arrested seven youth in Shopian district on Monday. These arrested were made in connection with massive demonstrations against the killing of two other youth by the troops in Gadapora area of the district on Friday.
