Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a youth was injured after being shot at by unknown gunmen in Pulwama district on Thursday night.

Muzaffar Ahmad Hajam of Midoora was fired upon by unidentified gunmen outside his maternal home at Hajam Mohalla in Tral area of the district. Reports said that Muzaffar was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors referred him to Srinagar hospital in a critical condition. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, protest strikes were held for 36 days in Tral town against the unabated Indian state terrorism since the beginning of the current year.

These strikes were observed to mourn the killings of youth and protest against the arrest spree.

At least seven youth were martyred by Indian troops in Tral town in the first three months of the current year in three different cordon and search operations conducted at Gulshanpora, Reshipora and Pinglish areas of the town. »

Islamabad, March 28 (KMS): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter held, today, a meeting in Islamabad with its Convener, Syed Abdullah Gilani in chair.

The Hurriyat leaders expressed concern over the prevailing situation in occupied Kashmir and said that the Indian forces were committing the worst kind of human rights violations.

The participants of the meeting condemned the imposition of ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front led by Muhammad Yasin Malik by Indian government in the occupied territory and termed it undemocratic and frustration of the Indian authorities. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism martyred four youth in Shopian and Kupwara districts, today.

Three youth identified as Sajad Khanday, Aqib Ahmad Dar and Basharat Ahmad Mir were killed by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Yarwan area of Shopian district. Another youth was martyred in Langate area of Kupwara.
Spontaneous shutdown was observed in Shopian, Pulwama and Handwara areas against the latest killings. Massive anti-India and pro-freedom protests were held in Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, Bijbehara, Sopore and Handwara areas. Indian forces used brute force and fired pellets and teargas shells leaving many mourners injured. Students of Degree College Kulgam also came out of their classes and staged anti-India protests. The troops set ablaze a residential house in Tangbal-Kujar area of Kulgam district. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai has paid rich tributes to youth martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Shopian and Kupwara districts.

Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for the highest standards in Jannah to the deceased souls.

He said Kashmir is a political and humanitarian issue which has to be resolved politically in its historical background and military might would never resolve the dispute. He said people of Kashmir want a peaceful political settlement to the Kashmir dispute for durable peace in the region. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, intense clashes between local youth and Indian forces erupted at Muran Chowk in Pulwama amid a spontaneous shutdown in Shopian and Pulwama districts against the latest killings by Indian troops in Shopian and Kupwara districts, today.

Three of the martyred youth identified as Sajjad Khanday, Aaqib Ahmad Dar and Basharat Ahmad Mir were residents of Pulwama district. Another youth was martyred in Langate area of Kupwara district. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a powerful blast damaged a house and a car near an Indian forces’ bunker in Srinagar.

The blast took place in Alochi Bagh area of the city. It was heard in far off areas.

A house and a parked vehicle were damaged in the explosion.

A local resident said that blast near the Indian army bunker was so powerful that windowpanes of several houses were damaged.

Washington, March 28 (KMS): A research conducted by the US-based fact tank, Pew research, has revealed that a majority of Indians, 55 per cent, see the situation in Kashmir as a very big problem.

The respondents have stated that more than 53 per cent people say circumstances in Kashmir have gotten worse over the last five years. »

Srinagar, March 28 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, people staged anti-India protest and blocked traffic on Srinagar-Jammu Highway near Bijbehara against the highhandedness of Indian forces in the area.

The troops thrashed locals in Bijbhera area on Thursday morning without any rhyme and reasons.

Immediately after the incident shouting pro-freedom and anti India slogans locals blocked the traffic on the highway. The blockade caused heavy jams on the Srinagar- Islamabad highway.

Passengers told media men that there was traffic jam on the highway for the past two hours.
