Thousands attend funerals of martyrs
Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, has urged the people to completely boycott the sham Indian Parliamentary elections scheduled to be held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 in India and the occupied territory.

Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, the Kashmiris could not be part of the Indian parliament where laws and resolutions are passed only to throttle and subjugate their voice for freedom. He said democracy has lost its values in occupied Kashmir where people are threatened and caged in fictitious and false cases. However, he made it clear that such maneuvering could never cow down the freedom loving Kashmiri people. »

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League visited Laasipora area of Pulwama district to express condolences with the bereaved family of martyr Tawseef Ahmed Ittoo.

Tawseef along with three other youth was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Lassipora, yesterday. The delegation was led by JKML General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai.

A party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Muhammad Rafiq Ganai talking to mourners on the occasion said, “India instead of taking measures to resolve long pending issue in its historical perspective, wants to thrust its choice through barrel of gun.” »

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of four youth martyred by Indian troops in Lassipora area of Pulwama district, the other day.

The martyrs Tawseef Ahmad Ittoo, Zafar Ahmad Paul, Aaqib Ahmad Kumar and Muhammad Shafi Butt belonged to different areas of Pulwama and Shopian districts. The funerals of the youth were offered amid high pitched pro-freedom, pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans. Pakistani flags were also raised during the funerals. »

Jammu, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, massive fire engulfed the District Hospital Ramban on Tuesday blazing the main block of the hospital.

Panic gripped the hospital after the fire emanated from the main block of the hospital housing drug store, damaging medicine and related records.

Four oxygen cylinders which were stored in the drug store triggered blasts, causing damages to windowpanes of the hospital. »

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, anti-India protests broke out in Lethpora area of Pulwama district against the thrashing of students, frequent raids on the houses and harassment of inmates by Indian forces.

People took to the streets after the personnel of Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force stopped school buses and thrashed the students. The protesters also including the family members of students told media men that the CRPF personnel deployed on Srinagar-Jammu highway at Lethpora were not allowing the school buses to move on the road. »

Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court has issued notice to the authorities asking them to file an affidavit to a petition challenging the slapping of draconian Public Safety Act (PSA) on religious scholar and Vice President of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Maulana Mushtaq Ahmed Veeri.

The petition was moved by the father of Mushtaq Veeri through his counsel Shafqat Nazir, who submitted before the court that PSA had been slapped on Mushtaq Veeri without following the law. »

It is agreed beyond doubt that people have celebrated 2% voter turnout, but there is hell of difference between the crown of humiliation and crown of grace. How can we afford to be part of the house where laws and resolutions are passed only to throttle and subjugate the people?” »
