Srinagar, April 02 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League visited Laasipora area of Pulwama district to express condolences with the bereaved family of martyr Tawseef Ahmed Ittoo.

Tawseef along with three other youth was martyred by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation in Lassipora, yesterday. The delegation was led by JKML General Secretary, Muhammad Rafiq Ganai.

A party spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Muhammad Rafiq Ganai talking to mourners on the occasion said, “India instead of taking measures to resolve long pending issue in its historical perspective, wants to thrust its choice through barrel of gun.”

He said, “Our youth are leaving their homes, relatives and shining careers for the grace and glory of their people and offering supreme sacrifices of their lives.” He said the sacrifices of these youth are giving a new impetus to the ongoing freedom movement.

Rafiq Ganai urged India to realize the ground realities that the history of the past over 70 years stood witness to the fact that the people of Kashmir were not ready to live under Indian slavery. He said that New Delhi should shun the use of military force, and instead try to find out a peaceful resolution in line with the historical perspective of the Kashmir dispute.
