Srinagar, April 07 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders have strongly condemned the murderous attacks on Kashmiri prisoners in Srinagar central jail and termed this as the most barbaric incident in the resistance history of Kashmir.

Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Mohammad Iqbal Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmed Reshi, Ghulam Nabi Wasim and Ghulam Nabi War in a joint statement in Srinagar said the United Nations have given rights to every prisoner and India is a signatory to that resolution but the Kashmiri prisoners of conscience are being deprived of these rights.

They said the Kashmiri prisoners are systematically being attacked from Delhi to Srinagar which should be a cause of concern for the international community. Holding forcible elections, which can never be substitute to right of self-determination, is meant to prolong occupation.

The resistance leaders paid glowing tributes to four martyred youth at Lassipora in Pulwama and said their sacrifices will not go waste.
